IN THIS ARTICLE:
Environment Online will be introducing Industry Regulation (IR) services on to the platform from Monday 4 November 2024.
This will provide a base level of functionality for IR services that will ultimately lead to full integration into Environment Online in later releases.
Environment Online will replace existing processes and systems including submissions for annual fees for licences.
In Environment Online from 4 November, you will be able to:
- Apply for licences, works approvals and registrations (collectively termed “instruments”) as well as submit amendment, transfer and surrender applications.
- Submit annual fees for licences under Part V Division 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (EP Act).
- Submit compliance plans or reports relating to instruments.
We have listened to industry feedback provided in past consultations and heard the desire for faster, streamlined approvals and this release provides the first step towards IR’s digital transformation. This will also support our broader streamlining reform objectives, particularly in terms of embedding parallel processing of approvals under Part IV and Part V of the EP Act as well as the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914 into the future.
Services already available on the platform include:
- Environmental Impact Assessments
- Native vegetation clearing applications
We encourage you to create an account now to get access to Industry Regulation services on Monday 4 November 2024. If you are wanting full access to view, track and manage applications, annual licensing fees and compliance plans and reports, we encourage you to set up an account using the Microsoft Work Account or Digital Identify login methods.
We will be holding training sessions including how to set up an account and guidance on submitting applications and annual licence fees.Register your interest here.
