Purpose
To aid the successful submission of referral spatial data, DWER have made available a shapefile template for Planning Advice. The template is designed to ensure compliance with the required validation standards, effectively expediting the submission process.
- Selecting a boundary from preset datasets which include Cadastre, Mining tenements, and Petroleum titles
- Uploading a boundary in zipped shapefile format
- Drawing a boundary
Spatial data provided must confirm to the following parameters:
- Format: shapefile
- Data type: closed polygons that represent the area/s related to the request
- Attribution: Fields have been provided in the template shapefile to capture general descriptions of the works related to the request
- Coordinate System: GDA2020, projected into the appropriate Map Grid of Australia (MGA) zone
***Please ensure that no invalid geometries (null geometry, self-intersects etc) exist before submission, as shapefiles containing geometry errors will not be accepted. ***
