From 1 May 2026, further enhancements to Industry Regulation services will be available in Environment Online.
These updates build on the services already available in the portal and are designed to support higher-quality submissions and a clearer, more consistent experience for industry, consultants and government.
What’s changing?
From 1 May, Industry Regulation applications will move to new easy-to-use digitised forms.
The new forms will:
- guide customers step by step through the application process
- collect information in a structured way aligned with assessment requirements
- help reduce errors and minimise follow-up during assessment
- support more efficient and transparent decision-making.
Additional improvements will also allow customers to:
- reuse key premises and prescribed activity information across related applications
- manage invoices, correspondence and fee payments in one place.
What this means for you
If you already use Environment Online, the new forms and features will be available when you log in from 1 May.
If you are not yet using the portal, you can already use Environment Online to:
- apply for licences, works approvals and registrations
- submit amendments, transfers and surrenders
- lodge compliance plans and exceedance reports
- submit annual fee information
- view and manage instruments, applications and fees in one place.
These enhancements will help create a smoother and more consistent lodgement experience for Industry Regulation customers.
Further practical guidance will be shared closer to the release date.
