IN THIS ARTICLE:

Environment Online continues to expand, delivering new digital services to support regulatory activities across Western Australia.

Current base-level services available for Industry Regulation

Industry Regulation stakeholders can already access a range of base-level services through the portal, including:
  • applications for licences, works approvals and registrations (collectively termed ‘instruments’) as well as submit amendment, transfer and surrender applications
  • submission of annual fee information for licences
  • submission of compliance plans or reports relating to instruments.
Coming soon on 7 November 2025

The next release for Industry Regulation will enhance the existing functionality in the portal, including:
  • improved management of instruments and visibility of obligations (such as compliance and exceedance reports, annual fees)
  • enhanced capability to receive and respond to requests of information from the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation relating to applications
  • greater ability to submit general enquiries to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation regarding applications and instruments.
Next steps

To ensure full access to the upcoming enhancements, please make sure your organisation is registered in Environment Online and that relevant personnel are authorised to view and manage your instruments. For guidance, refer to the instructions on Representing an entity.
