Representing an entity

25 September 2025 (Published: 27 May 2024)

IN THIS ARTICLE:

Accessing Environment Online when representing an entity

This article provides guidance if you're acting on behalf of an organisation, government agency, or another individual.

You may be representing an entity if you are:

  • an employee representing the organisation you work for
  • a consultant completing work for an organisation or on behalf of another person.

Choosing your login method

You can access Environment Online using one or more of the following methods:

  • Microsoft Work Account
  • Digital Identity (via MyID and WARAM)
  • Your email

Note: We recommend choosing the Microsoft Work Acccount or Digital Identity login method to have full access to all Environment Online services and activities.

Microsoft Work Account
  • You have full access to all Environment Online services and activities.
  • Uses an entity’s Microsoft account to authorise users.
  • Requires:
    • A senior representative to authorise an IT Administrator by completing an Authorisation Form.
    • For set up instructions, watch the Microsoft Work Account login video or view the Set up - Representing an entity using Microsoft Work Account guide
Digital Identity
  • You have full access to all Environment Online services and activities.
  • Uses Digital Identity credentials (e.g. myID) for user authorisation and identity verification.
  • Requires:
    • A senior representative to complete an Authorisation Form to authorise a Service Administrator via WA Relationship Authorisation Manager (WARAM)
    • For set up instructions, watch the WARAM login video or view the Set up and log in - Representing an Entity using Digital Identity guide
Your email
  • Provides a secure and simple login using email credentials and multi-factor authentication.
  • You can act on your own behalf or on behalf of an entity.
  • If you are representing yourself (not an entity) you have limited access. For example: You can submit native vegetation clearing forms but cannot interact with EPA Impact Assessment applications.
  • If you are representing an entity:
    • You must be authorised by the entity’s Service Administrator to act on its behalf, or your submission won’t be processed. Contact the Service Administrator to request authorisation.
    • The Service Administrator will grant you access to specific projects.
  • For set up instructions:
    • Watch the Your email video
    • View the Set up and log in - using Your Email guide
