Today, significant new functionality was introduced to Environment Online to support the submission of biodiversity and marine survey data packages.
This release enables you to submit data packages for Index of Biodiversity Surveys for Assessments (IBSA) and Index of Marine Surveys for Assessments (IMSA) data through Environment Online – replacing the current IBSA submissions website and the email-based IMSA process.
Key benefits
- One integrated portal for IBSA and IMSA submissions
- Simplified digital upload process
- Immediate confirmation of submission and real-time tracking
- No requirement for a separate metadata statement
Resources available
Comprehensive guidance materials, templates, and support resources are available to help you with the transition.
Preparing for the transition
- You are encouraged to create an Environment Online account to access services.
- If you are submitting on behalf of an organisation or another individual, we ask you review the guidance on Representing an entity prior to creating an account.
This latest release in Environment Online reflects the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s ongoing commitment to modernising environmental assessment processes and supporting proponents with efficient, user-friendly digital tools.
