Register and log in using Digital Identity (myID)

29 April 2026 (Published: 28 April 2026)

IN THIS ARTICLE:

If you’re setting up access to Environment Online using Digital Identity (myID), this page will guide you through registering and logging in.

What this login method is for

Digital Identity (myID) is for people who want a more secure way to use Environment Online. It involves additional identity checks during registration, which helps confirm who you are.

You can use Digital Identity to submit and manage environmental applications and information:

  • for your own activities
  • on behalf of an organisation, if you are authorised to act for them in Environment Online.

Registering with Digital Identity sets up a personal account.

What you'll need

To register using Digital Identity, you must:

  • have a Digital Identity (myID) account on your device
  • have access to the email linked to your myID.

This option is for individuals setting up a personal account.

Register with your Digital Identity

  1. Select Login on the Environment Online homepage.
  2. Choose Sign up or log in with Digital ID (myID).
  3. Approve the sign‑in request in the myID app.
  4. Enter your contact details when prompted.

You now have a personal Environment Online account.

Once your registration is complete:

  1. Select Login on the Environment Online homepage.
  2. Choose Sign up or log in with Digital ID (myID).
  3. Approve the sign‑in request in the myID app.

You will be logged in to Environment Online.

If you are representing an organisation or another person

Registering with Digital Identity sets up your personal account only.

If you need to submit applications or manage activities on behalf of an organisation or another person, you must also be authorised to act for them in Environment Online.
