Get authorised to act for an entity in Environment Online

29 April 2026 (Published: 28 April 2026)

IN THIS ARTICLE:

If you’re working on behalf of an organisation or another person, this page explains how authorisation works and what you need to do in Environment Online.

What does ‘authorised’ mean?

To act for an organisation or another person in Environment Online, you must be authorised by that entity.

Authorisation gives you permission to submit applications or manage activities for the entity, not for yourself.

Before you request authorisation

Confirm the following with the organisation or person (the entity) you will be representing:

  • The entity is registered in Environment Online
  • Which login method the entity uses.

If the entity is not registered, register an organisation in Environment Online.

How to get authorised

Your authorisation process depends on the login method used by the entity.

If the entity uses a Microsoft Work Account (Entra ID)

The organisation manages access through its own IT systems.

To request access:

  • Ask the organisation’s Service Administrator or IT team to add you to the correct Environment Online administrator or user group in Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Once added, you will have access to act for the organisation.

If the entity uses Digital Identity (myID) and WARAM

Authorisation is managed through the WA Relationship Authorisation Manager (WARAM).

To request access:

  1. Sign in to WARAM with your Digital Identity (myID).
  2. Submit a request to act for the organisation.
  3. The organisation’s Service Administrator reviews your request.
  4. You may be asked to provide proof that you are authorised to act.

If the entity uses Your Email

To request access:

  • Ask the entity’s Service Administrator to send you an authorisation invitation from Environment Online.
  • You must accept the invitation to gain access.

If you are acting for another person (individual)

Authorisation for individuals is managed through WARAM.

The individual must:

  1. Sign in to WARAM.
  2. Send you an invitation to act on their behalf.

You must accept the invitation.

You cannot request access on your own.

Once you are authorised

After your authorisation is approved:

  • Log in using the same login method as the entity.
  • You will see the entity in your My Environment dashboard.
  • If not, contact the entity’s Service Administrator or IT team.
